SC Johnson Professional are a leading manufacturer of household cleaning products and products for home storage, air care, pest control and shoe care. Glade, Mr Muscle, Pledge and Duck are just a handful of their well-known brands.
The Cleaning Show is held each year at the Excel in London and is one of the biggest events of the year for SC Johnson Professional to showcase their products. Not only was last year’s event a great opportunity for them to positively reinforce their thriving brands, it was also an ideal time to launch their new soap dispenser made from 70% recovered coastal plastic*. SC Johnson Professional came to us with the brief to come up with engaging, eco-friendly promotional giveaways for their stand.
*Recovered Coastal Plastic is post-consumer recycled plastic collected on land within 31 miles / 50 km of an ocean so that it does not reach oceans or landfill, in countries with high volumes of uncollected plastic waste.
SC Johnson Professional were keen to provide event giveaways that were completely authentic to their brand by ensuring they aligned with their strong sustainable ethos. We all love a freebie that’s practical and unique, so we focused on selecting seed based products which could be planted once used.
We presented a diverse range of 13 appealing and practical seed based products to the team and the list was whittled down to 3 well-chosen products; Terracotta pots & Forget-Me-Not seeds, seed paper memo pads, and seed paper page marker pads, all of which were turned around in a 4 week lead time from brief to delivery.
The event was a smasher and the giveaways were so well-received that SC Johnson Professional ordered more of everything as soon as they were back from the show.
The team received plenty of positive comments from visitors and staff alike, and they were delighted with the innovative solutions Birch initially presented to them as well as the overall quality of the chosen products. To top it all off, they were thrilled to receive their order on time for such an important event in their marketing calendar.
